Straight answers about Sidecar Agents, how the agents handle your data, and how to start.
Sidecar Agents is a platform of private AI agents that work on a business’s own documents and systems. It includes the Corporate Brain, a knowledge base that answers staff questions with citations, and Agent Archie, which organises and files documents. Each client has its own isolated environment, hosted on AWS in Australia.
Sidecar is a Brisbane business architecture firm. sidecar.com.au covers its consulting: Diagnosis, Focus Programs and The Way. This site covers the software the firm built from that work. Same company, two offerings.
A private knowledge base built from your organisation’s documents. Signed-in staff ask questions in plain English and get answers grounded in those documents, each with a citation linking back to the source file. Every client has its own Brain.
Archie discovers every file across your connected sources, classifies each one for sensitivity and subject, finds duplicates, decides what still matters, names files to your convention and files them where they belong. Then it keeps the estate groomed. It is an optional add-on to the Corporate Brain and is off by default.
No. Archie has no delete operation, and it never gives more people access to anything. No setting changes either rule. Disposing of a file always needs a person’s approval, and a legal hold blocks it.
Your documents, indexes, chat history and audit logs are stored in AWS’s Sydney region. AI answers are processed within Australia, in Sydney or Melbourne.
Sidecar does not train models on your content. The models run on Amazon Bedrock, which does not use customer content to train the models it hosts. Your content is used only to provide the features your organisation has switched on.
The Brain reads only what the connecting account can already see, within the drives and sites an administrator names. On top of that, every document carries one of four sensitivity levels, and each role has a ceiling: administrators up to restricted, consultants up to confidential, executives up to internal. Someone with no role sees public documents only.
Google Drive, SharePoint and OneDrive through their own consent screens; NAS and SMB shares through an on-premises collector that only makes outbound connections; Synology through its own API; and HubSpot for customer records. All read-only, except Archie filing into SharePoint libraries an administrator has granted one at a time.
No. File moves, permission changes and CRM updates are proposals until the file owner, document controller or named approver confirms them. A proposal that nobody answers is not approved.
The Corporate Brain, Agent Archie, and the tender and bid, management reporting and customer retention agents are all available. They are examples of what Sidecar builds; we also create agents specific to how your company operates, on the same foundations.
An administrator can disconnect any source from the Connections screen, which deletes the stored credential straight away. You can also revoke access directly in your Google Account or Admin console, or the Microsoft Entra admin centre.
